Droolin Dragsters went to the Showcase of Dogs in Memphis, TN this month. The team traveled down to Memphis Friday the 14th, ready to race on Saturday morning. Saturday started bright and early at 4:45 for breakfast (at least for part of the team - some chose sleep over food), and then a 6:30 AM Captains meeting at the Agriculture Center in Memphis. Racing started at 7. It was a long day - we finished racing at 8 PM. We learned that Amber has a long way to go. She was very nervous and just wouldn’t run. The rest of the team had a few cross overs and a few reruns but over all we had a pretty good day. At least we placed sixth in our division. Sunday started just as early, and the primary four team was running great. Things didn’t go great all day however, still had a few cross overs and reruns, Amber ran in three heats, but wouldn’t run in the next two. Riley did great and is working on staying in his lane. Our primary team did their job well, put up with the new dog and still managed to pull us in at sixth place again. It was a great weekend
