The Droolin Dragsters went to Talladega (Shocco Springs), AL to compete in the Gamblers’ Dog Days of Summer U-Fli Tournament, Friday, August 25th. The team went down with six dogs - Amber, Bandit, Blue, Jasper, Katie, and Mikki.

It was the first U-Fli tournament for all of us, and it was the first tournament altogether for Jasper and Katie. Although Jasper went to our last NAFA tournament he didn’t get to run in any heats. This weekend Bandit and Jasper took turns running as our height dogs.

Katie kept practicing return runs and getting used to the tournament atmosphere. All the hard work paid off - We put Katie into races starting on Sunday. She managed to get thirty points on Sunday, an the rest of the team managed to get enough points over the weekend to get our first U-Fli title - Top Flight.

We have a lot more work to get ready for the NAFA tournament in Memphis in October but we had a great weekend. We all came home worn out but really proud of our new titles.

Droolin Dragsters and the entire CCSA club will be giving flyball demonstrations at the Dog Daze Event that will be held at the Dale Wayrynan Recreation Center on Fort Campbell. There will be other contests and information booths at the event. All contest will start by 1:00 PM. Come on out and have some fun.
